The airlines listed below provide online check-in, allowing travelers to obtain and print boarding passes before going to the airport. Please note that the instructions below are meant as a guide—airline policies change so this information should be verified on that airline’s direct website.

Aeroflot—SKYTEAM
- Check-in wherever you want (home, office, anywhere where you have an internet connection).
- Online check-in starts 24 hours before departure; the service is available 45 minutes before departure.
- Choose your preferred seat.
- Print boarding pass yourself. After arriving at the airport you do not have to go to a check-in counter!
AeroMexico—SKYTEAM
- AeroMexico offers mobile check-in and other travel services via mobile app!
Air Canada—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers may check in online 90 minutes to 24 hours prior to their scheduled departure time if flying between the U.S. and Canada (2 to 24 hours if flying between Canada and other international destinations).
- Passengers must have an electronic ticket (if departing from the U.S.).
Air China—STAR ALLIANCE
- Check-ins at Beijing airport is available 2 to 36 hours before departure. Check-in services for international flights with domestic segments are not available for the moment.
- Infants, passengers U12 who are traveling alone, handicapped or ill passengers who need special services, pregnant women, and groups of passengers are not able to use web check-in at this time.
- From now on, passengers who purchase Air China international e-tickets with travel originating from Frankfurt may choose to check-in and print boarding passes online on the local web site. With the online airline check-in service, you can select your seat, accumulate mileage, and print boarding pass one day in advance of your flight.
Air Europa—SKYTEAM
- Passengers may check in from 48 hours to 1 hour prior to departure for flights operated by Air Europa. See website for restrictions.
- If you do not have to check luggage in, you can go to the boarding gate with the printed or mobile boarding pass, 60 minutes prior to departure for intercontinental flights and 45 minutes for all domestic and European flights. If you have to check luggage in, you can drop it off at the check-in desks.
Air France—SKYTEAM
- Available starting from 30 hours before your flight’s departure, online check-in enables you to confirm your presence and choose your seat. Check-in is complete when you receive your boarding pass, which you need to board your flight! Once you arrive at the airport, you simply need to leave your baggage at the baggage counter.
- Passengers must have an electronic ticket.
- Passengers may check in online within 48 hours of departure of the flight and will close 2 hours prior departure. Currently web check-in is not available for travel from Bahrain, Dhaka, Muscat, Melbourne, and Sydney.
- Passengers traveling on domestic sectors are issued with boarding passes. The passengers can print boarding pass and proceed directly to the security check at the airport, in case they are traveling with handbag only. In case they have registered baggage, they will need to contact the Baggage Drop counter to deposit the baggage and collect the registered baggage tags.
- Passengers traveling on international sectors are issued with a confirmation slip instead of a boarding card. At the airport, they will need to contact the dedicated Baggage Drop counter to get their baggage, if any, registered and to get the document verification done.
Air New Zealand—STAR ALLIANCE
- Air New Zealand allows passengers to check in online from 24 hours before your flight.
Alaskan Airlines / Horizon Air
- Check in and print boarding pass 1 to 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure. Then check baggage at any Alaska Airlines baggage check location and proceed to the boarding gate.
Alitalia—SKYTEAM
- Online check-in is available from 2 days before the flight. Link to Alitalia for exceptions and minimum check in times depending upon your origin and destination.
American Airlines—ONEWORLD
- Passengers may check in online 1 to 24 hours prior to their scheduled departure time.
- Passengers must have an electronic ticket or mobile boarding pass for domestic travel (including Alaska and Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) and a confirmed seat assignment.
All Nippon Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Online check-in is a convenient service which enables passengers to complete check-in procedures and issue boarding passes ahead of time without having to do so at the airport on the day of your departure.
- The mobile boarding pass is an electronic boarding pass that can be obtained either from a mobile device such as a smartphone or from the 2D barcode sent to your designated e-mail address. (Mobile Boarding Passes cannot be printed).
- Flights departing from/arriving to Japan as a code-share flight operated by another airline are not eligible for online check-in.
Asiana—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers may check-in from 48 hours to 2 hours before departure.
- Check-in: seat designation and boarding pass issuance available via mobile site or mobile app!
Austrian Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Web check-in is available 36 hours and up to check-in deadlines at the respective airports before departure.
British Airways—ONEWORLD
- Passengers may check in online 2 to 24 hours prior to their scheduled departure time for all U.S. departures. (1 to 24 hours for all other locations).
- Don’t wait until you get to the airport, check-in online or on your mobile from wherever you are. You’ll even have a greater seat choice, so go ahead and check in 24 hours before you fly.
Brussels Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers may check in online up to 24 hours prior to departure.
Cathay Pacific—ONEWORLD
- Check in for Cathay Pacific flights, Dragonair flights and any onward flights on partner carriers 48 hours up to 90 minutes prior to flight departure
- Print boarding pass or send mobile boarding pass to your mobile device (where applicable).
- Mobile check-in service—a feature that comes with exactly the same benefits as online check-in, but with the added convenience of being accessible anytime anywhere while you are on the move. Mobile check-in is accessible on all web-enabled mobile phones and requires no additional application downloads.
- Passengers departing from applicable airports on China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines flights, who have already completed eCheck-In procedures, can print boarding pass online on A4 paper in either black and white or color with their own printer at home, the office or anywhere with access to the internet. Passengers eligible for lounge access will be able to view their invitation signs on the boarding pass.
- Newly introduced Mobile Boarding Pass. Eligible customers who have checked in online via eCheck-In website, CI Mobile APP are now able to receive their Mobile Boarding Pass on their handheld devices (e.g. smartphone), proceed to security points and immigration, and board China Airlines flights.
China Southern—SKYTEAM
- Passengers may check in online from 4:00 p.m. one day to 1 hour prior to flight departure time.
- Passengers must have an electronic ticket.
Croatia Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers can check in for any direct scheduled light operated by Croatia Airlines, no earlier than 23 hours and no later than 60 minutes before departure.
Czech Airlines—SKYTEAM
- Online check-in and Mobile check-in services are available between 30 hours and 1 hour before your departure.
Delta Airlines—SKYTEAM
- Passengers may check in online 1 to 24 hours prior to their scheduled departure time.
- Fly smarter with Delta online check-in services and eBoarding Passes. Use your smartphone to check in and get alerts with the Fly Delta mobile app.
Egypt Air—STAR ALLIANCE
- Web Check-In is accessible from 48 hours before departure, and up until 90 minutes before your flight’s scheduled departure time.
- Mobile Check-In provides Electronic Boarding Pass directly on to your mobile device. Who can use this service? Currently, the mobile Check-In is open to all passengers who have ticketed reservation for flights departing from Cairo Airport to all domestic destinations (within Egypt) only.
Finnair—ONEWORLD
- Passengers can check in 36 hours prior to your departure for all Finnair and Flybe AY2000 series flights departing from Finland, and most Finnair and Flybe AY2000 series flights departing from abroad. For flights to the USA and for Flybe-operated AY8000-series flights, check-in opens 24 hours before departure.
- You can send yourself a mobile boarding pass in online or mobile check-in or receive it from the automatic check-in when airport authorities at the departure airport have permitted the use of it.
- Check in online from 24 hours to 45 minutes prior to your flight’s departure time. You will save time at the airport, even if you’re unable to print your boarding pass.
Iberia—ONEWORLD
- Reserve your seat and obtain your boarding card, from one day before and up to 1 hour before the scheduled departure of your flight (90 minutes in Lagos, San Jose, and Caracas) and you can go directly to the boarding gate. You can check-in online, via their mobile site, or their new mobile app!
Japan Airlines—ONEWORLD
- Passengers can access online check-in and print their boarding pass, or visit their mobile site and have their boarding pass emailed to them.
- Passengers can check in online up to 24 hours in advance, but no less than 90 minutes prior to your flight.
Kenya Airways—SKYTEAM
- Passengers can check in online with an e-ticket from 30 hours until 2 hours before departure!
- Jump the longs queues at selected airports and choose your preferred seat and print out your boarding pass at your convenience. At the airport, drop off your luggage at the dedicated online check-in drop off point and proceed to the boarding gate. Online check-in is now leaps and bounds ahead with Kenya Airways.
- Kenya Airways Mobile App provides the ability to check flight status, flight schedules, and easily contact customer service.
KLM—SKYTEAM
- From 30 hours before departure (24 hours before flights to or from the United States)
- Choose your seat, see who’s on board and bring more baggage at a discount and print your boarding pass or get your (e-)boarding pass sent to your smartphone.
Korean Air—SKYTEAM
- Check-in is available from 1 to 30 hours prior to scheduled departure of domestic flights. For international flights, the service is available from 4 to 24 hours prior to departure.
- Check-in online and print your boarding pass or obtain a voucher to be exchanged for your boarding pass at the airport.
- Use their mobile website or new mobile app to check-in and obtain your e-boarding pass.
LAN—ONEWORLD
- Passengers may check in online 48 to 2 hours prior to flight departure time.
- Passengers must have an electronic ticket.
Lot Polish Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Web Check-In, the LOT online check-in facility opens 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure and closes 120 minutes before take-off.
- Print your boarding pass yourself or have it sent electronically via text message to your cell phone.
Lufthansa—STAR ALLIANCE
- From as early as 23 hours before departure, passengers can check in online and print their boarding pass or use their mobile device, reserve your seat and receive their mobile boarding pass.
Quantas—ONEWORLD
- Passengers can check in on their mobile from 24 hours up until 45 minutes before your flight departure on most domestic flights and save their boarding pass to Passbook or Samsung Wallet.
- Passengers have an online web check-in window of 24 hours up until 1 hour before flight departure for domestic flights or 24 hours up until 2 hours before flight departure for international flights. These boarding passes must be printed prior to arriving at the airport.
Royal Jordanian—ONEWORLD
- Passengers can check-in to their flights up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time to print their boarding passes.
Scandinavian Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Check-in & seat selection are available from 22 hours to 1 hour before departure for travel with SAS.
Singapore Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
Online and Mobile check-in are available from 48 hours to 2 hours before flight departure. Self-printed and mobile passes are offered to eligible passengers when departing from selected cities.
South African Airways—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers may check-in 24 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. Online check-in closes as follows; four hours for USA flights, three hours for all other international/regional flights, two hours for all domestic flights.
- Passengers may check in online 1 to 24 hours prior to their scheduled departure time.
- Passengers may print their boarding pass upon online check-in or print at the airport.
Swiss International Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers may have their boarding pass sent to a smartphone as a mobile boarding pass or print it out via web check-in or using their mobile device.
TAP Portugal—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers may check-in 90 minutes to 24 hours before flight departure via web or mobile app.
Thai Airways—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers may Check-in 2 to 24 hours prior to scheduled flight departure.
- Internet Check-in and mobile check-in with e-boarding pass are available for Thai operated flights.
Turkish Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Passengers may check-in 24 hours to 90 minutes prior to flight departure with ability to print boarding pass.
United Airlines—STAR ALLIANCE
- Check-in is available starting 24 hours before your scheduled departure. Minimum time requirements for check-in, baggage check and boarding may vary based on your departure airport and destination.
- Check-in online, using their mobile site, or via the United mobile app.
- Passengers may check in anywhere via the mobile-friendly site. Passengers can also reserve seats, manage your booking, check Flight Status and schedules and keep tabs on your Flying Club account.
- The best way to check in is online where you can pick your seat and print your boarding card.
- Or, using the mobile boarding pass feature. All you have to do is check in online through the desktop or mobile website and choose to download the boarding pass to your mobile phone or device. You can also then add your Virgin Atlantic boarding pass to Passbook if you use an iPhone.
